PROGRAMME: We move to Demre after we gathered at the places indicated earlier to make a historical travel over Kemer and Finike. Demre was one of the most important cities of the Lycian civilization. City is located 25km west of Finike and 48km east of Kas. Demre was a place of settlement from the 5th century before Hellenistic Period. During the reign of Theodosius II (408-450 AD.), the city became the Metropolitan of the Lycians. Reputation of the city spread not only in Lycia, as the centre of pilgrimage, where diseases having been cured, but also throughout the Christian World. The reason for this is that Santa Claus (St. Nicholas) has lived here in Myra in this period. Therefore first we will visit St. Nicholas Museum; afterwards we will visit antique city Myra as we continue travel in historical times. Following Myra we will have lunch break in a restaurant. Afterwards we will have boat tour with possibility of swimming. (Boat tour depends on weather condition).Later we will drive back to the Hotels.
